Vintage Shop in Ghana! Blossom and Wednesday (Review)

Hi guys, hope your all doing well.

I visited this lovely Vintage shop that I wanted to tell you guys about because it isn’t your usual ‘Ghanaian Boutique’.
They specialise in 100% leather vintage bags, purses, clutches, backpacks, briefcases and genuine designer handbags like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. They also have a range of vintage clothing, shoes, belts, jewellery and sunglasses.

BnW displayFirstly the shop is very inviting and isn’t full of China China stuff (which seems to have taken over Ghana) and the decor is classic and chic. I met with the owner who is a beautiful lady that had a passion for vintage and a dream to bring something new to Ghana.

Me and store ownerThe store opened earlier this year and if your like me and wondering where the catchy store name came from its interesting to know that the friends of the owner call her blossom as true to form she’s always smiling and never seems down and she was born on a Wednesday…so also has the name Akua like moi 😄, there we have Blossom and Wednesday, I just love the quirkiness of it.

BnW bag displayJust to give you an idea, the genuine leather men’s bags have a price range of 85-150Ghc, the ladies 75-300Ghc and for the best part…the vintage designer bags are 30-80% off their original price! You have to agree this shop is well worth a visit right?

The clothes are in two sections; the thrift garments start from 35Ghc and the exclusive ‘Vintage Royal’ which are high-end classic pieces start from 150Ghc.

Vintage royal collectionYou will all be pleased to know that they will be having a fashion fair THIS WEEKEND Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th Nov 2014 (9am – 6pm) just in time for Christmas, so prices will be discounted and even lower than I mentioned. So if you fancy something different from the norm or a retro fab look, you have to check out this store as your sure to leave with a unique gem or two.

  1. Sounds like a place I could live in! Great idea on her part and also great name for the shop. How do you feel about the idea of being followed in stores? For example here in the racist usa if you are black nine times out of nine times you will be followed in stores do you feel more free in Ghana vs the UK? I know you have been going back and forth for years but now you are becoming more of a local.
