Améyo is luxury without the enormous price tag. The Ghanaian based fashion label prides itself on creating sophisticated and glamor looks, which can be available to the modern Ghanaian woman. The brand focuses on merging culture, tradition and contemporary elegance. The brand started off in 2011 and has participated in the IED Milan end of year show in 2014 and the MUD show during the Dutch design week in 2014. Amongst those accolades, the brand has been a prominent feature on An African City. The sex and the city of Ghana, where fashion, success and love all meet.
The creative director Klekleli Dzidzienyo is a born and raised Ghanaian. She pairs elegance with whimsical looks. Whilst perusing their Kulcha ’16 lookbook, the playful yet elegant influences are evident. The styles range from structured cuts to billowing skirts. Every look is perfectly cultivated and fits seamlessly together. The collection has diversity from structured suit pants, pencil skirts and also playing with the high-low trend that is both architectural and elegant in design. The colors are different hues of blue and purple with splashes of vibrant orange that draw your attention.
The brand personifies the modern African woman who has herself very much together.
